Welding automation and mechanisation for STX

The CHARMAN robot developed within the IRT Jules Verne, with the skills and expertizes of the subsidiaries of the EUROPE TECHNOLOGIES group (welding and mechanization for SERVISOUD and robotics for GEBE2) officially began its first welding in real conditions.

Developed for STX, this autonomous robot on magnetic crawlers performs hull plating welds by embedding rolling, welding, laser and electronic technologies.

Our teams are proud to have worked on this project development started in 2013 and whose industrial outcomes seem on track.
